Cottage Crafts is a little business based within Goostrey Home & Leisure between Knutsford and Holmes Chapel. It is run by the lovely Cath, who sources and makes cute fairy houses and accessories. Her permanent stall is in the craft room where lots of other businesses sell their items.
What’s extra special about Cottage Crafts is that during the school holidays she runs childrens workshops. You can book your child onto these 1 hour sessions where they can make their own fairy house. Cottage crafts provide all the beautiful little pieces you will need to make your magical creation. At different times of the year the fairy houses are themed with the seasonal extras. At Christmas you could decorate the fairy house with snow and Christmas decorations. Or at Halloween there was something a little extra spooky going on.
The company also make and sell finished items which make perfect gifts. They do lovely items for Mothers Day and also Teacher Gifts. A lot of their items can be personalised for only a couple of pounds extra.
Cath and the ladies that help run the workshops are so good with the children. Friendly and very patient which is what you want for when crafting with children.
I attended when it was my nieces birthday party. It was a great activity for a party. A group of 10 girls sat round a table carefully crafting together. Afterwards they could have an ice cream and play in the Goostrey Home & Leisure play area.
