The Place to Play is a wonderful new role play village in Reddish (10 minutes out of Stockport centre). It’s founded by Rachael who is an early years teacher – and if you’re a fellow teacher you can tell this as there it’s got lots of great Twinkle resources inside!
We parked up outside on a side road and braved the rain to head to our session. We pre booked online and had a two hour play slot which was the perfect amount of time!
The place to play is only small but they limit the numbers for each session so it never feels too busy! The area is split into sections, there’s a theatre section, a construction area, a home area, a vet area and a post room area. Our little girl loved the post room and enjoyed posting all the letters in the huge mailbox.
There’s also a long wall on the left which has a fire engine play, a police play, hospital and gardening play! There was lots of things to do which is perfect for a toddler who loves imaginative play.
The toilet is complete with child’s step and seat and they have baby changing facilities which are clean and well kept.
They have some tables at the back and a small cafe/tuck shop where you can get a brew and your little ones can enjoy a snack- the pricing was very reasonable here.
We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. I thought it was great value for money and also thought it was the perfect place to go if you were on your own with two children of different ages as it’s quite small it was easy to manage.
