St Andrew’s, Berkshire is one of five Prep Schools to be accredited Microsoft Showcase status, joining four hundred other schools across the globe.
Following an extensive, year-long application process, St Andrew’s is delighted to be recognised for its creative and innovative digital developments across all areas of school life.
Head Master, Ed Graham, said: “We aim to use technology to create a distinct culture, and bring teaching and learning in the classroom to life. Only a few years ago, we relied upon dial-up internet connection and becoming a Showcase School is recognition of how far we have come. Our curriculum aims to retains its contemporary relevance and it equips our pupils with future-ready skills.”
St Andrew’s pupils use a Surface Go for class assignments and homework in Years 7 and 8, whilst Microsoft Teams, One Note, Forms and Sway have been integrated into school life. Over 10% of staff are Microsoft Advanced Educators (MAEs) and over 3% are Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts (MIEE).
Only 80 schools in the UK achieved Microsoft Showcase status this year, including several of St Andrew’s destination schools, including Bradfield College, Downe House, Queen Anne’s and Wellington College.
