We were kindly invited to North Light Bar and Restaurant in Chester to try out their new summer menu!
North Light is a bar and restaurant located in Coachworks Arcade on Northgate Street in the heart of Chester and is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
As a family of 4 with 2 little ones, we always struggle to find somewhere that suits us all when eating out. From dealing with allergies, to trying to find a restaurant that is child friendly but serves something us adults actually want to eat – it can be a challenge.
North Light didn’t disappoint, the decor and interior was gorgeous and reminded of some of the lovely bistros and restaraunt we often visited before we had our children.
This restaurant however was child friendly, it’s probably the most pram friendly restaurant we have ever been to, from ramps to tables that are spaced out that offer not only space to put a pram but also ample room between tables so you don’t have to hear the people next to you conversation! (Or rather in our case nobody had to hear our reverting conversation on if Bluey or Bingo is in fact the best).
The children’s menu includes desert, our little girls tried the chicken kebab and the fish bites and fries- they also loved the hummus and crudités that came with this.
We have the Korean chicken and Halloumi bites to start then tried the roast for main, chicken and beef.
The beef was lovely quality and really lean, and the chicken was very tasty. The roast potatoes stole the show and were the best we have had in a long time.
We finished off with chocolate brownie and Sticky Toffee Pudding desert.
As we were leaving two live singers started to play and our little girl loved to dance along- she said she had the best time ever!
So if you are stuck for somewhere to eat out in Chester and want somewhere that doesn’t just serve beige food for everyone this is the place! We honestly couldn’t recommend it enough for a family friend meal, where everyone loved the food! If the weather is warm they even have a lovely terrace where you could sit outside and enjoy watching the world go by!
