With just a few simple materials, you can make a little raft and try floating it at bath time.
What you need to make a cork raft
- 3 corks
- 2 elastic bands
- 1 wooden skewer
- Scrap of paper
How to make a small cork raft
- Place the corks together along their lengths.
- Use elastic bands to secure the corks together, making your raft base.
- Cut a scrap of paper to make a sail.
- Pierce a skewer through the scrap of paper and stick into the middle cork (adults should help with any piercing and sharp points)
Now it’s time to set sail.
