Platinum Jubilee Beacon lighting in Oxfordshire – 2nd June

• Bicester – Bicester Heritage will provide a historic backdrop for this momentous event and will be open to welcome you from 9pm to host the lighting ceremony.  Free event but tickets need to be booked in advance.
• Banbury – the beacon will be lit at Spiceball park at 9:45pm and followed by fireworks.
• Faringdon – along with live music the beacon lighting event will take place in Market Place from 8:30-10:15pm
• Henley on Thames – Alan Aston plays ‘Majesty’ prior to the lighting of the Beacon at Makins’ Recreation Ground.
  Oxford – There will be the lighting of a beacon on Castle Mound
• Woodstock – Blenheim will be joining communitites across the country to light a beacon to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. At 21.00 Blenheim Park gates will open for local residents to join the beacon lighting, making their way on foot to the Monument across the Grand Bridge.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Events in Oxfordshire

Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Garth Park (Bicester) – 4th June FREE

There will be a fun filled day at Bicester’s Garth Park from 3pm – 9pm with face painting, walk about acts, live music and more.

Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Blenheim Palace (Woodstock) 2nd – 5th June

An action packed weekend with the Blenheim Palace food festival, lighting of a beacon, Gifford Circus, a Jubilee trail and lots of family friendly activities in the walled garden.

Jubilee Picnic at Mill Meadows (Henley) 5th June FREE

Enjoy a family day out at Mill Meadows, bring a picnic or pick up some delicious foot and drinks from the Piazza or one of the street food vendors. Enjoy live music at the bandstand and have a run around in the children’s play areas.

The Big Lunch Jubilee Event (Woodstock) – 5th June FREE

There will be seating in the square, live music and family fun activities.
