It’s all getting rather spooky at Alderford Lake with a brand new drive in cinema and Halloween events for kids of all ages (and event an over 18s Nightmare Island too)
Witchcraft Woods – 21st Oct to 2nd Nov
Do you have a budding witch or wizard in your family?
Discover your inner magic at Alderford’s Witchcraft Wood’s Halloween Event.
You are invited to Alderford’s school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, to learn the boundless limits of your own abilities. Upon arrival, a wand will be chosen, with the opportunity to let your imagination run wild in a magical crafting workshop. Of course, you cannot become a true Witch or Wizard without the perfect pet companion by your side. You will create and tailor your pet to your very own wildest dreams.
With your pet by your side, you will embark on an adventure of fun and games as you battle against your fellow students to become the best wizard in your class.
Spooky Island – 27th to 29th October
8-13 year olds
A spooky experience speckled with small frights for older children and not-so-brave adults! With a maze that will have you running for the hills. Well, that’s if you can find your way out! Making your way to the island, you will be met by some unexpected twists and turns and don’t forget those pesky prisoners!
Nightmare Island – 27th to 29th October
Where can those who are kept hidden from the world be found? And what measure are taken to keep them in? Do you dare to find out?
Nightmare Island is where the most troubled souls are left to fester, locked away from the outside world. The crossing to the island is long and treacherous, one that has been foolishly attempted by few but no has ever survived. A maze filled with deceit and anguish lies before an island governed by evil and inhabited by the dead. Feral and malnourished, the prisoners will stop at nothing to watch you perish in the hells of their own despair.
Nightmare Island is a scare attraction not for the faint hearted.
This is an outdoor attraction, please wear suitable clothing and expect to get muddy.
