February Half Term Activities at the Oxford Natural History Museum

That Natural History Museum in Oxford is a great rainy day option with so much to see and do. Over Feb half term they have lots of great activities for kids.
11th Feb + 18th Feb
Out Of The Deep – Come and celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Handle prehistoric specimens that tell the story of Victorian fossil hunter, Mary Anning. Drop-in, no booking required.
Science Saturdays – Meet scientists to investigate real natural history specimens from the collection. Enjoy hands-on science-based activities for families, and explore a range of topics from insects to fossils, skeletons to microscopes. Recommended for ages 8+.
13th – 14th Feb
Ocean World – Dive into the underwater world of animal life and touch some real ocean specimens. You’ll also get the chance to make your own ocean-themed crafts to take home! Family event, suitable for all ages. Drop-in, no booking needed.
15th Feb
Meet The Researchers – Come and meet natural history researchers and get their help to carry out your own mini investigation. This event is for 10- 14-year-olds, as part of the COTO programme. Booking is essential. To secure your place, please email education@oum.ox.ac.uk
19th Feb
Family Friendly Sundays – Join for a Sunday afternoon of nature-themed crafts, activity backpacks, family-friendly trails, and more! All provided by Museum volunteers. Drop-in, no booking required.
