Dinosaurs in the Park at Heaton Park Manchester

Dinosaurs in the Park will roaring into Heaton Park in Manchester this year.
Heaton Park Dinosaur Trail
Take journey back in time to the prehistoric this Summer, where you will get to meet a different life-sized dinosaur at each twist and turn along our Dinosaur trail. Help the Palaeontologist find his tools and solve the puzzles along the way. Visit the Dinosaur Dentist and even brush a T Rex’s teeth! The Dino Trail winds its way past well known favourites such as Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Velociraptor as well as a Dilophosaurus, Kentrosaurus and Hyparosaurus, each dinosaur has a fun facts plaque complete with scare factor! These dinosaurs and many more will eventually lead you to our huge, hungry T-Rex, poised and ready to attack!
The 40 life-sized, realistic animatronic dinosaurs from the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods move their heads, jaws, and claws and hiss, snarl, and growl, to provide an exhilarating and truly immersive experience. Dinosaurs in the Park also offer quiet sessions for noise sensitive visitors.
Interactive Dinosaur Zone at Heaton Park Manchester
After you have marvelled at each dinosaur, head to our interactive zone. Discover what it is like to be a Palaeontologist and see how best to find Dinosaurs on your doorstep. Explore fossils in our excavation pit and then design your own interactive Dinosaur. Dinosaurs in the Park provides a wide range of fun and educational activities for children and grown-ups alike.

Recharge your batteries at the nearby food court whilst watching your children have fun in our exciting and educational Interactive-Zone.
Our free attractions include, but are not limited to:
- Explore the Dino Trail and find the missing Palaeontologist’s tools

- Watch our Dinosaur Dentist handle the T-Rex’s big teeth

- Designosaur – Create your own Dinosaur and watch him come alive in our amazing interactive studio
- Mini Dino golf
For an additional charge, your young explorer can go wild on our bumper cars, bungee trampolines and carousel. The whole family can enjoy the Tree Top Big Wheel – rub heads with the giant Sauropods!
Heaton Park is one of the largest parks in the North West, boasting over 600 acres. It is easily accessible by car or public transport. Visitors must use the Sheepfoot Lane car park to access the event car park, the Dinosaurs in the Park entrance is a 15 minute walk through the park, you will find them not too far from Heaton Hall, just follow the giant footprints!
Please note that dogs are not permitted at Dinosaurs in the Park unless they are registered assistance dogs.
