I’m completely smitten by the lovely ice cream set from Dantoy that my son has been loving playing with. It was kindly gifted to us but the words are my own and it’s an honest review.
Before we get onto the eco credentials which are fantastic, just as important is will it be played with, and the answer is most definitely yes.
My son loves to play imaginative games and last summer we made our own ice cream stall from a large cardboard box. This set would have been perfect for that. The set comes with three cones, a strawberry and vanilla swirly ice cream top and a double scoop topping. There’s also an ice cream school and a couple of cupcakes.
Each part is perfectly sized for little hands to explore, creating, mixing and matching and serving up. The stand is handy too for display.
We also loved the cupcakes as they come in sections with the case, bun and topping.
As a parent, it’s important to me that the toys I have for my kids don’t leave a negative legacy for their future. There’s so much plastic about which ends up in landfill. As well as being great fun to play with, the big appeal for the Dantoy bioplastic range is their eco credentials.
The bio line is made of sugarcane and the box it’s packaged in is made of recycled cardboard. The toys are eco-friendly and do not contain harmful chemicals.
- The manufacture of bioplastics reduces carbon emissions.
- The sugarcane is cultivated on controlled, pesticide-free plantations in central and southern Brazil.
- The sugarcane is harvested every 6–12 months.
- Bioplastic made of sugarcane is a 100% sustainable raw material.
If you’re looking for a range of toys that will appeal to children and kind to the environment then these are perfect. Why not make your own ice cream and cupcake café and get playing.
