Cheshire Forest School runs Forest School sessions for children and their carers in an extensive and private woodland in Whitegate, Cheshire. Sessions are held during term time on a Monday 10-11.30am and 12.45-2.15pm and on a Friday 10-11.30am.
Each session is based on the wonderful ethos of Forest School and the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that child-led play and exploration is central to each session. Mud kitchen, dinosaur world, bug hunting, hammock and tree swinging, balancing along slacklines, creating crafts using the natural world and learning to use tools and just some of the things we do.
Towards the end of the session, we gather around the campfire upon which we cook and enjoy the warmth it gives us. We listen to stories and sing our woodland songs together. It really is a wonderful, sociable experience to end our sessions.
The sessions are run by Caroline, an experienced Primary School teacher and Level 3 Forest School Practitioner.
Sessions are booked in blocks of 6 and cost £7.50 each. Parking is free and a hot drink for each adult is included. Click here to book forest school sessions, holiday clubs and events
