Across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire there are so many brilliant childrens farms, zoos and wildlife parks to explore for a family day out.
Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park – Buckinghamshire
One of my favourites as I love the variety of farm and wildlife zone animals (red squirrels are the cutest) as well as lots of outdoor fun from a great playpark to mini ride ons. My kids have always come back from a day out here with a huge grin on their faces. Hogshaw Farm Review
Cogges Manor Farm – Oxfordshire
Open air and simple pleasures. Cogges have reopened the farmyard, garden, picnic and play areas, outside seating and toilet facilities to all visitors, from 9.30am – 4.30pm. Dogs are welcome on a lead.
Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens – Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire

Bucks Goat Centre – Buckinghamshire
The Bucks Goat Centre is a friendly open farm situated in Stoke Mandeville. A lovely place to to visit and feed some animals and there are some extra fun things to do for the kids. It’s not huge so makes a great morning or afternoon out with kids. Bucks Goat Centre review
Fairytale Farm – Oxfordshire
Perfect for younger kids with an enchanted walk, farm animals and some photogenic alpacas. There’s also a sensory walk, some unusual features and the chance to pet the small animals.
Farmer Gow’s – Oxfordshire
Ticks every box when you have little ones. It’s not too big that it’s overwhelming and it’s well thought out and designed for the smaller guests. You can spend a couple of hours or all day and little ones will happily come away; muddy, exhausted and full of happy memories!
Gulliver’s Dinosaur & Farm Park – Buckinghamshire

Millets Falconry – Oxfordshire
With over 90 birds of prey, winding pathways and breath taking flying demonstrations, look out for the snowy owl if you have a Harry Potter fan.
Roves Farm – Wiltshire (close to Oxfordshire border)
Roves Farm is one of the farm parks that I’ve been back to on numerous occasions with my kids and we’ve always had a great time. It’s perfect for a full family day out and it’s still a working farm too. Currently open for walking trails, they will be reopening their outdoor play areas very soon on 23rd April on Wed through to Sun each week.
Willowbrook Farm – Oxfordshire
Open now with an animal menagerie, walking trails and a fantastic woodland play area which the most amazing tree houses. The cafe provides hot drinks and food that can be eaten in the picnic areas. They’re reopening on 15th May on Saturdays only.
Cotswold Farm Park – Gloucestershire
There are lots of great children’s farm park across the country, but the original is the Cotswold Farm Park.
Cattle Country Adventure Park – Gloucestershire
Back in the swing of things, meet the animals and explore the adventure play park at Cattle Country Adventure Park.
Odds Farm Park – Buckinghamshire / Berkshire
Odds Farm Park is one of only 23 rare breed farms in the whole of the UK and the animals are a definite highlight. They’ve also got lots and lots of play areas and it’s definitely a good fun family day out.
Millets Farm – Oxfordshire
Explore Phoebe Woods, The Animal Walkway and Play Area at Millets Farm which are all free to visit. The cafe is great too if you want to pick up something to eat outdoors and they have great events running during the school holidays.
Beale Park – Oxfordshire / Berkshire
A trip to Beale Park, near Pangbourne, is always a fun family day out. Set in 350 acres of Thames-side land, the park feels spacious and uncrowded, even in the school holidays. There are landscaped gardens to explore and animals to spot.
Bucklebury Farm Park – Berkshire
Buckleybury Farm Park is another great one to visit with plenty of space outdoors to explore and spot the deer too. They also have an indoor play area which will reopen later on 17th May.
Thrift Farm – Buckinghamshire
The farm park is a perfect size for younger ones, large enough that they can explore on foot with plenty to keep them busy but not so big that you need a pushchair to get them back to the car park at the end of the day.

Newbridge Farm Park – Gloucestershire
A family-run visitor attraction near Ledbury. They have created a little paradise on the borders of the three counties that enables families and groups to have fun, safe, quality time together in our play areas and on the tractor ride. The animal area of the farm, past the park, new barn and over the bridge, is closed off and is no longer part of the farm park attraction. They have a small collection of friendly animals to greet and feed in paddocks at the front of the park. Open Fridays and Saturdays only from 23rd April.
