Little Milton has the most gorgeous little wooden playground tucked behind the village shop.
There’s nothing quite like visiting a great play park for the first time. My kids ran around trying everything for a few minutes before moving to the next until finally settling into playing.
First up was a little wooden boat which they all jumped aboard. There’s even a pair of binoculars which is great for imaginative play with little ones. The playground at Little Milton has plenty for a stretch of ages.
There are baby swings, a nest swing and regular swings for those that loved just to be pushed and give mum an arm workout. The little wooden play fort is great for toddlers with steps up, somewhere to hide for peek a boo at the top and a slide down.
If you’ve got kids with a mix of ages like me then it’s great to have larger apparatus too. We always love a zip wire and there’s a good size climbing frame with larger slide too.
The roundabout is unusual and unlike traditional ones doesn’t get stuck with grit. It has four brightly coloured dimples to sit in and can build up a decent speed. There’s also a wooden balancing bridge and wooden posts to step along.
Little Milton play area is surrounded by a fence to prevent escapees and has a covered picnic area in the middle. Great to shade on sunny days or escape a dash of rain. Surrounding the play park is a great big open grassy field and free to enter tennis courts.
When we visited the village shop was closed but this will be even better when they’re open as there’s a cafe too.
